Within this new Limited Edition book design, Carroll’s story is told with new graphic imagery, allowing viewers to fall into the world of fantasy created for those, who enjoy the nostalgic tale to experience. These illustrations bring you back to a time and place, as hand drawn graphic visuals are stylized with abstracted color shapes, to really bring forth the idea of these organic renderings, in a way which adheres to the story, “ spiraling” into a  fictional world of ones imagination. Color choices are kept soft and subtle to allow the illustrations to push forward with just enough to shadow and compliment each image. Visual characters and elements are taken from Alice’s story and journey throughout the book as she embarks on her adventure.
This type book was designed to embody the mood and feel of the film “ Black Swan” in which case main character quotes were used and displayed to mimic the tone and atmosphere in which they were said, as if one could hear or imagine it, as if it was being said at that moment. The stories main synopsis surrounds a character who is deeply involved within her role as a ballet dancer in her performance of  Swan Lake. As the film deepens we get a true sense of how her character develops into a darker persona, as she must embody both characters the white and black swan. Torn between the two realities, she begins to loose herself and taps into her darker role as it later consumes her altogether.
Typography is handled in a way which embodies both essences of the black and white swan from the main characters interactions and perspective, as well as how she interprets its reality.
